Holme Mills House - A New Chapter For An Old Home

In 2026, our team began work on this beautiful period property as part of an extensive renovation being completed across two phases. With Phase One now complete, we're delighted to finally share the results.

This project was never about making an old building look new. It was about bringing it back to life, while holding onto the character and original features that make it so special.

Phase One has included a full electrical rewire and redecoration throughout, new carpeting upstairs and the addition of a dedicated boiler room. 

We've also adapted the layout to better suit modern living, transforming the former dining room into a kitchen, converting a bedroom into a bathroom and fully renovating the existing en-suite. Throughout it all, preserving the property's character has been incredibly important. Original timber, exposed beams and fireplaces have been retained wherever possible, sitting naturally alongside the more contemporary additions our clients wanted.

Working with older properties is something our team genuinely loves. They often need a little more thought, patience and attention to detail, but that's exactly what makes them so rewarding. There's something special about giving an old building a new chapter without losing the history that made it what it is.
