In early 2024, a client approached us with a proposal to convert offices into apartments in Royston, Hertfordshire. They required a swift turnaround, and fortunately, we were able to comply and commenced work as soon as approval was granted. The building was to be transformed into four separate residences, requiring a complete renovation. This encompassed the installation of bathrooms, open-plan kitchens, bedrooms and a communal space.
The property's appearance was compromised due to deteriorating render when we commenced the project. Since a complete re-render was not feasible for the client, we addressed the issue by patching the affected areas, achieving a seamless finish. Subsequently, we revitalized the entire building with a fresh coat of exterior paint. We upgraded all windows to modern double glazing and updated the exterior doors with contemporary Anthracite grey composite doors. The roof was generally in good condition, requiring only the addition of some vents.
